Wellness int he Woods is currently accepting applications for Peer Support Specialists in Carlton county. This position will provide weekly support to female jail populations, offering assistance with creating Wellness Recovery Action Plans for inmates who are interested, and walking alongside inmates on their journey. Additionally, this position will be responsible to maintain support with inmates for up to one year after release. This position will also assist in the planning and facilitation of community sober events within Carlton county.

Wellness in the Woods is currently accepting applications for Outreach Associates in specific regions. This position will reach out to providers, consumers, and community members in the mental health and/or substance use continuum of care with information on WitW services. They will further communicate a recovery mission through tabling events and attending activities in the community. Lastly, Outreach Associates will further educate peer specialists, providers, community influencers, prospective funders, and partners about the recovery vision of the organization.
At this time, we are ONLY seeking applications from Outreach Associates in the following regions/counties:
Northwest 8
(Kittson, Roseau, Marshall, Pennington, Red Lake, Polk, Norman, & Mahnomen counties),
Region 2
(Lake of the Woods, Beltrami, Clearwater, & Hubbard counties),
Southwest 18
(Big Stone, Swift, Kandiyohi, Meeker, Lac qui Parle, Chippewa, Renville, McLeod, Yellow Medicine, Lincoln, Lyon, Redwood, Pipestone, Murray, Cottonwood, Rock, Nobles, & Jackson counties) and
Southeast
(Goodhue, Wabasha, Waseca, Steele, Dodge, Olmsted, Winona, Mower, Fillmore, & Houston counties).
